Haizea Bilbao has been awarded the Gold medal, whilst Haizea Tecnoaranda and Haizea Grupo WEC have been awarded the Silver medal, further strengthening the group’s ESG performance.
Haizea Wind Group continues to make progress with its sustainability strategy, having renewed its EcoVadis accreditations for all the companies within the group. In the 2026 assessment, Haizea Bilbao was awarded the Gold medal, whilst Haizea Tecnoaranda and Haizea Grupo WEC were awarded the Silver medal, reflecting the shared commitment of all sites to responsible management and continuous improvement.
EcoVadis is one of the most internationally recognised corporate sustainability assessment platforms. Its methodology analyses organisations’ performance in key areas such as the environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, providing a global benchmark for measuring the integration of ESG criteria into business operations.
The results achieved by the companies in the Haizea Wind Group reflect a strong performance in terms of sustainability. Haizea Bilbao scored 80 out of 100, placing it in the 96th percentile among the companies assessed in its category. Meanwhile, Haizea Tecnoaranda scored 78 points and ranked in the 92nd percentile, whilst Haizea Grupo WEC achieved a score of 75 points and ranked in the 89th percentile.
All three centres stand out in particular for their environmental performance, where they scored 81, 88 and 86 points respectively, thanks to their work in areas such as energy efficiency, emissions management, the circular economy, responsible waste management and the continuous improvement of production processes.
These results highlight the efforts made in recent years to integrate sustainability into all the group’s operations. The three companies also uphold leading international commitments, such as their membership of the United Nations Global Compact and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), thereby reinforcing the alignment of their strategy with the main international standards on sustainability and climate action.
Receiving these accolades forms part of Haizea Wind Group’s sustainability roadmap and its Haizea Zero strategy, which aims to move towards carbon neutrality by 2040 and to actively contribute to the development of a more sustainable and competitive industry.
